By uploading music, recordings, artwork, or other content to AllDefiant, you grant AllDefiant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free direct mechanical and performance rights license to reproduce, distribute, stream, publicly perform, and display that content on and in connection with the platform. This license exists only to let AllDefiant operate the platform and pay you per the published revenue splits. This license does not include synchronization rights or any right to license your content to third parties. You retain full ownership of your content. The license terminates when you remove the content or close your account.
You keep 100% of the price you set on tips and donations, fan club and add-on subscriptions, tickets, albums and digital products. The fan pays a 5% platform fee on top (3% platform + 2% referral or brand share), plus card processing when they pay by card. Digital sales add a small flat fee on top as well ($0.10 per single or digital product, $0.25 per album). Tickets priced $10 or more add $0.50 per ticket on top. For print-on-demand merch you set the price over the production cost and keep the markup.
Fan streaming subscriptions are $5 a month. At least $3.50 of every $5 goes to the artists that fan actually played, split by their listening time; a play counts once it passes 15 seconds (patent pending). Up to $1 goes to the people who brought that fan in: $0.50 to whoever referred them and $0.25 to the artist who recruited that referrer, or the full $1 when the referrer is a Founding Artist. Referral money nobody claims joins the artist pool. A flat $0.50 of the $5 runs the platform. Streaming money is released after a 45-day dispute window. The exact, binding numbers are in the Terms of Service, section 5.1.
Sharing your revenue with collaborators, bandmates, a manager, or a label. AllDefiant lets you choose to share your earnings with the people you work with. You can set per-track collaborator splits and ongoing management, band, or label relationships, each at a percentage you decide. Splits can apply to streaming, album sales, tips and donations, and fan-club and add-on subscriptions. A split operates on your share of the revenue — it divides what you earn and does not add any additional platform fee.
A split takes effect only after the person you invite accepts it, and it applies to earnings going forward — never retroactively to money you have already earned or been paid. Until an invitee accepts, you keep 100%. Each beneficiary is paid directly to their own connected payout account; AllDefiant does not pool or hold the money between you, and we do not adjudicate your agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of any split you set and for honoring the terms you agree with your collaborators. Merch profit and payments settled in cryptocurrency are not split.
AllDefiant will not use uploaded music or artwork to train generative AI systems that produce music, vocals, or lyrics. AllDefiant may use AI for classification and recommendation, to serve your music to fans, and automated checks to help protect your copyrights on AllDefiant. AllDefiant does not monitor or enforce your copyrights off the platform. Any new AI use case requires your separate written consent.
AllDefiant's commitment to you, word for word: “AllDefiant will never sell my music without my permission. It sells copies only where I choose to list them, and licenses a song for sync only if I opt that song in myself and sign the separate Sync Licensing Agreement. Nothing is opted in by default.” AllDefiant's own marketing of your music on and in connection with the platform is not restricted by this clause.
You affirm that the music you upload is the product of meaningful human creative authorship. AI is only ever an effect on your own performance, never the music itself. AllDefiant's AI policy, word for word:
If you use AI processing tools, you are solely responsible for holding the commercial rights from those tools and for the resulting work.
You represent that you own or have cleared all rights needed to upload your content, including rights from co-writers, featured artists, labels, sample owners, and any AI tools used in production. You agree to indemnify AllDefiant for any claims arising from a breach of this representation.
AllDefiant does not host adult content. Uploads principally intended for sexual arousal are not permitted. Explicit lyrics in otherwise non-pornographic music are not adult content; the line is primary intent.
You are personally responsible for the content you upload. AllDefiant is a platform operator, not the publisher or author of your work, and does not take on liability for what users upload. AllDefiant will not voluntarily share user data. Valid legal process (subpoena, warrant, court order) is required. AllDefiant will challenge requests that appear overbroad, unconstitutional, or improperly issued, and will notify affected users of legal requests for their data whenever not legally prohibited from doing so. When valid legal process compels disclosure, AllDefiant complies narrowly and only to the extent legally required.
AllDefiant may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced to artists with a prompt to re-accept before continuing to use the platform under the new version. The text you accept at signup is preserved on your application record as a defensible audit trail.
